    Responsibilities

    A Weatherford COROD Continuous Rod & Well Services Field Welder is responsible for learning Field Welder operations and the maintenance of COROD equipment under their control while performing service work at a well site. The Field Welder is to ensure that all work is performed safely while managing time appropriately. All Field Welder operations are to be conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements, the Weatherford management system and the COROD product line policies and procedures.


    • Learn how to operate the Field Welder; learn all functions and capabilities. Learn the service and maintenance requirements by following documented operations procedures, inspection and maintenance documentation and on the job training. Commit to operating, inspecting and maintaining the equipment as per published procedures.


    • Commit to working safely. Learn and follow regulatory requirements, Weatherford, COROD and customer safety procedures and practices.


    • Commit to driving safely. Learn and follow all local regulations for vehicle operations. Learn the Weatherford management system requirements for Driver and Vehicle Safety. Learn and follow the COROD procedures and practices as they apply to the Field Welder and the driving of COROD mobile equipment.


    • Learn how to maintain a clean and serviceable work area including the customer well site, the Field Welder unit, associated COROD tools, equipment and the shop site.


    • Learn how to actively participate in continuous improvement by making suggestions for mitigating and or eliminating job hazards and improving work procedures.


    • Learn to effectively manage and control costs during the execution of Field Welder operations.


    • Learn the effective use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Wear job/task appropriate PPE at all times. Maintain PPE in a clean and serviceable condition.


    • Participate fully, as directed, in all safety investigations.


    • Participate in scheduled product line safety and service quality meetings.


    • Attend customer safety meetings as required.


    • Ensure all regulatory and client specific safety training and certification is current and updated as required by the job role and work location.


    • Learn to complete all pre-job safety requirements as documented in the Weatherford Operational Risk Management procedures and the COROD Site Hazard Assessment. Always consider all hazards and associated risks for every task performed and document the controls being used to eliminate or reduce the hazard or risk.


    • Learn and implement new operating procedures or maintenance requirements when they are introduced.


    • Learn how to report and follow up on all deficiencies with equipment or procedures.


    • Learn how to maintain the Field Welder Operations Log Book, the Driver's Daily Log Book and the Trip Inspection Report Book, ensuring compliance with regional, Weatherford and COROD requirements for COROD mobile equipment.


    • Learn how to maintain monthly fuel reports for COROD mobile equipment.


    • Learn the correct and appropriate use of all current Operational Risk Management policies, procedures, documents and tools appropriate to your job role. Commit to the effective and timely use of them at all times.


    • Learn and understand the use of all tools and equipment used on the job site. Learn their function, the task for which the tool and equipment is designed, and how to use/operate them in a safe and correct manner as intended by the manufacturer.


    • Learn to plan and coordinate Field Welder operations as required.


    • Learn the required and appropriate security measures for safeguarding all COROD mobile and associated equipment when located away from a secure base.


    • Learn to troubleshoot problems with the mobile equipment or service operations. Take immediate corrective action to minimize downtime, control costs and ensure service quality.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:
  • Prior skill, knowledge and experience as a Welder and or experience operating other COROD equipment, and or previous well servicing experience.
  • Possess valid country/regional Vehicle Operator License applicable to the equipment, with an abstract acceptable by WFT Fleet Safety guidelines.
  • Possess valid and current WFT and country certificates for regulatory safety training.
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions as required.
  • Working level of literacy. Must be capable of reading manuals and work instructions and understand the content.
