    Job Description
    Job Title: TIG Welder
    Job SummaryOur client in Sterling Heights, MI is seeking a hard working TIG Welder to join their team. You would be responsible for fitting and welding aluminum, stainless steel, and nickel alloy components using the TIG welding process with a high level of precision. This position requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of various metals and their properties, and strict adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will be skilled in TIG welding techniques and capable of producing high-quality welds that meet AWS and aerospace specifications. Key Responsibilities
    • Set up and operate welding equipment to TIG weld aluminum components, thin-gauge stainless steel (as thin as 0.032"), and nickel alloy components
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications
    • Perform TIG welding in accordance with AWS and aerospace welding standards
    • Weld custom and specialized components based on job requirements
    • Prepare weld joints using hand grinders, sanders, and other tools as needed
    • Inspect finished welds to ensure quality and conformance to specifications
    • Maintain welding equipment in safe, proper working condition
    • Follow all safety rules, procedures, and regulations at all times
    • Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills during fabrication and welding processes
    • Perform additional duties as required to support job completion
    Education & Experience
    • Completion of a one-year welding certification program from a college or technical school or
      one year of related welding experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Proven experience with TIG welding (required)
    • Must be able to successfully pass a welding test
      • Additional Requirements
      • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
      • Ability to work safely with potentially hazardous equipment
      • Ability to meet all pre-employment requirements
