Job summary

The Legislative Director position is located in Washington D.C. The incumbent is responsible for overseeing the operations of the American Legion's Legislative Division.
Serve as the organization's head lobbyist and coordinate all federal lobbying activities.

Responsibilities

  • Represent The American Legion before the U.S. Congress on all legislative matters which the organization is interested by establishing and maintaining relationships with congressional members and staffs.
  • Advise the Executive Director of Government Affairs on technical information related to the federal legislative process.
