    Job Description

    Job Description ForwardEdge ASIC is seeking skilled and detail-oriented ASIC Analog SERDE designers to join our talent network. The successful candidates will be responsible for the circuit design of high-speed SERDES analog/mixed-signal circuits within ASIC designs.

    This role involves collaborating closely with customers and cross-functional SERDES design engineers to create designs that meet stringent power, area and performance requirements.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Appropriate-level experience, knowledge, and scope of responsibility in SERDES design.


    May include the following areas:


    Participate in system-level and block-level IC design activities, including architecture definition, circuit design, schematic capture, and circuit and sub-system simulation.

    Work with advanced CMOS technologies, including experience with FinFet technology.
    Utilize standard, commercial IC design CAD tools.
    Apply high-speed design techniques and low power to circuit design.

    Document analog designs blocks and collaborate with Characterization and Product engineers to define and conduct tests and analyze measurement data.

    Assist in the validation of circuit design through lab skills.
    Mentor junior engineers.


    Qualifications:
    Master's degree in electrical engineering plus 6 years of relevant experience or Ph.
    D. in related field.
    Familiarity with SERDES system-level operation and modelling
    Demonstrable experience in high-speed equalization techniques
    Practical knowledge of high-speed board and package requirements to support SERDES
    Experience with planning of high-speed layouts using FINFET technologies.


    Clearance:
    This position requires a US government security clearance. As such, US citizenship is required.


    Work Environment:


    The work environment for this role typically involves office-based activities with collaboration with analog design, CAD, and physical verification teams.

    Occasional travel may be required for project meetings or customer engagements.
