A prestigious aerospace/defense company in Hauppauge is looking to bring on a Procurement professional to their team. Theres an opportunity for a Buyer to join their team and develop meaningful experience sourcing industrial components for their manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will manage procurement activities, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Negotiate and monitor purchase agreements based on company policy for quality, price, and delivery.
• Conduct supplier surveys to identify potential new suppliers; survey results influence future procurements.
• Utilize knowledge to negotiate the best price according to required specifications.
• Prepare requests for quotations and purchase requisitions.
• Establish positive relationships with suppliers, adhere strictly to purchasing policies, and possess relevant skills and compliance knowledge.

Requirements

• Associates degree minimum, Bachelor's degree preferred
• 2+ years of experience of electronics purchasing in a manufacturing setting
• Proficient in procurement services vital to business success
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Excellent negotiation skills for communicating prices and contract terms
