- The Cook prepares food which is nutritious and appetizing in accordance with requirements of the Food Production Manager.
- Responsible for preparing meals for patients on both regular and modified diets. Also, food items for the cafeteria.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate records of all foods prepared and returned.
- Ensuring Health standards are followed, along with strict safety standards under Johns Hopkins expectations
- HS diploma, or equivalent, required
- Culinary training (graduate of a culinary or technical school) preferred
- 1 year related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items, and therapeutic diets.
- Experience cooking in a hospital or healthcare setting is highly preferred
- Or, experience cooking in an institutional setting
- Full-time (40 hrs per week)
- Evening shift: Sun - Thursday, 11:00am - 7:30pm
- Weekend & holiday work required
