Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in plant, manufacturing or equipment maintenance setting required
• Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to carry out not only simple, but complex oral and written instructions and deal with problems from standardized situations and work experience
• Good mathematical skills, including basic math including fractions, conversions, and common units of measurement in both metric and imperial system
• Ability to read and understand English sufficiently to be able to read technical information contained in manuals, reports, and schematics
• Ability to communicate well with supervisors, mechanics, leadmen, welders, maintenance personnel, and outside contractors
• Welding and metal working skills required
• Must have or be able to obtain Electrical, Plumbing and Hydraulic repair knowledge. Willingness to learn these skills is mandatory
• Ability to comprehend additional training related to plant maintenance
• High level of attentiveness and physical coordination to perform the necessary tasks safely
• Must have their own basic tools
