Job Summary and Qualifications
As an Intake and Assessment Professional for Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center Hospital and Behavioral Health Center, you will be leading a team that has a passion for creating positive patient interactions and a dedication to caring for the multi-faceted wellness of those we serve.
In this role:
You will assess and evaluate patient information to determine the best course of treatment.
You will screen patients from the Emergency Room and will also be available to assess and evaluate patients referred from other hospital units.
You will conduct assessments and evaluations in person and on the telephone.You will act as liaison to the community mental health or other appropriate agencies to triage and quickly facilitate appropriate placement.
You will streamline and facilitate patient placement into the Behavioral Health department if warranted or refer to an appropriate community agency.
You will provide patients with adequate crisis intervention and safety planning if the patient is not being admitted.You will be responsible for an initial contact with patient's insurance companies and provide an initial diagnosis, if appropriate.

What qualifications you will need:
Current State of Idaho RN License
OR
Licensed Social Worker in the State of Idaho - (Clinical Mental Health Counselor, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor (LMFC), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
Past experience or a strong desire to learn skills associated with this field.
