    Description

About the Opportunity*Center for Global Law and Justice Summary
The Northeastern University School of Law's Center for Global Law and Justice (CGLJ) is the core of global legal and interdisciplinary activities at the School of Law, including groundbreaking research and advocacy, that reflect the NUSL commitment to using law in the service of justice and human rights worldwide. CGLJ serves as a point of contact for the law school's international collaborations and institutional partnerships, and we sponsor multiple events promoting public education and intellectual exchange in conjunction with colleagues worldwide. CGLJ's roster includes affiliated faculty from throughout Northeastern University's network of campuses and from other institutions worldwide, and senior fellows who enrich our community with their engaged research and advocacy. We regularly engage Northeastern co-op students and research assistants in our programmatic work and support CGLJ scholars, i.e., selected NUSL students who are completing co-ops involving global subject matter or involving international placements, particularly involving issues of global justice. A signature CGLJ project is our Resource Hub, an online resource providing information and guidance on the international protection of human rights to an international audience. The CGLJ also hosts NUSL's annual Valerie Gordon human rights lecture, publishes research and policy analyses (including editing an SSRN journal), and conducts advocacy before international bodies on behalf of partner organizations and communities. The CGLJ serves as the home for NUSL's longstanding Program on Human Rights and the Global Economy (PHRGE), which coordinates the Bringing Human Rights Home Lawyers Network, hosts an active listserv, and sponsors periodic Continuing Legal Education events.

Recent national law school rankings have placed NUSL's human rights program in the very top echelon of law school human rights programs.

The CGLJ plays a critical role in maintaining NUSL's position as an educational leader in this area, expanding NUSL's global reach as an intellectual hub, and serving as a pipeline for lawyers working worldwide to promote justice and human rights.Job Summary
