- Maintains competency, performs tasks and assist with functions during endoscopic procedures according to prescribed standards.
- Selects routine supplies and equipment required for Endoscopic procedure; appropriately handles equipment and specimens, labeling as required.
- Assists with environmental asepsis. Maintains competency and follows all safety measures in equipment decontamination.
- Participates, as time allows, in procedure scheduling process assisting endoscopy schedulers with mailing of instructions or other letters to patients and placing reminder calls.
- Works within the structure of the Cheshire Medical Center and department policies, procedures, missions, philosophies and goals.
- Treats each patient, visitor and employee with compassion and courtesy, maintaining excellent customer relations.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and an ability to work with others in a cooperative effort to ensure customer satisfaction and Continuous Quality Improvement.
- Complies with the department and Cheshire Medical Center Safety and infection control policies and procedures, and with relevant regulatory and legal standards.
- Participates in all meetings, in-service sessions and required self-development programs and activities.
