Job summary
The Payroll Specialist manages and coordinates payroll processing for FMFCU and SFN in accordance with internal policies and procedures as well as external regulations.
Responsibilities
- Completes bi-weekly payroll processing for FMFCU and SFN accurately and timely including analyzing timecard inputs data for coding or other errors closing and balancing timecards. ,
- Maintains electronic database of information including timecards exception pay adjustments accruals balances all payments deductions processed through payroll wage garnishments commissions tuition reimbursement incentives retro pays etc. ,
- Analyzes audits payroll information employee changes for accuracy manages payroll adjustments appropriately processes two payrolls in accordance with all internal polices procedures internal control systems external regulations submits deposit file to Information Technology reconciles payroll deposits tax withholdings deductions creates produces all payroll reports various parties appropriate intervals responds ad hoc report requests. ,
- Manages maintains all payday related policies procedure ongoing basis includes paycheck job aids schedule manager toolkits departmental user purposes ensures adequate availability posting communication researches recommends best practices implementation works through any adjustments resolution may involve coordination outside agencies responds notices tax filings managessimilarMaintains PTO database annual holiday schedule holiday float schedule each FTE classification ensures accruals holidays awarded appropriately audits serves back up leave management process entirety coordinates STD LTD required paperwork employees third party vendors recording payments processing deductions relative approved leaves reviews audits invoices processes payments various vendors Paycom Benefit TPA brokers others appropriate supports audit new employees HRIS manages preparation auditor led coordination auditors lead point contact actively participates employee education around topics team meetings branch visits managers contacts responds verifications employment current former employees inquiries regarding Credit Union policies practices assists records retention activities cross trains other departmental functions benefits compensation supports execution employee engagement events stays updated regulatory changes relations retirement benefits responsible adhering operational controls compliance required regulations Office Foreign Assets Control OFAC ensure safety soundness Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union members.
