MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Selma, CA

Location: 7736 E. Springfield Ave., Selma CA 93662
Job Type: Full Time-Hourly
Department: Maintenance

Job Summary:

Responsible for maintaining and repairing manufacturing facility equipment and property structures while adhering to EPA, HazMat, and OSHA safety regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Conduct routine maintenance on plant machinery and mechanical equipment, following technical guidelines available.
Address work orders promptly and efficiently.
Inspect various machines to diagnose issues and perform repairs.
Disassemble, replace defective parts, reassemble machines, and make necessary adjustments for optimal operation.
Assist assigned maintenance mechanics as required.
Adhere strictly to safety regulations and company policies at all times while working with diverse machinery, chemicals, and equipment.
Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.

Education Qualifications and Skills:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred experience in a manufacturing or foundry environment.
Mechanical proficiency in hydraulics, electronics repair, and related applications is advantageous.
Ability to accurately interpret machine instructions, following both written and verbal instructions.
Capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work different shifts based on seasonal demands.
Forklift experience is beneficial.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent to continuous standing.
Occasional to frequent walking.
Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, and kneeling.
Frequent gripping and manipulation.
Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 40 lbs. from the floor to a height of 25 feet.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Mandatory use of approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, respirator, hearing protection, and steel-toed shoes at all times.

Working Conditions:

Frequent exposure to fumes and airborne particles.
Operations in a high-noise environment.
Regular proximity to moving mechanical parts, utilizing standard heavy equipment and tools.

The employee must wear appropriate PPE, including a respirator (if applicable), safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, and steel-toed shoes.
