- Field Engineering Support:
- Provide field engineering expertise to guide the implementation of MxU projects.
- Apply practical knowledge and technical skills to address and resolve on-site challenges.
- Plan, design, and implement fiber optic networks for indoor construction projects, focusing on Multi-Dwelling Units (MXUs).
- Design and Planning:
- Utilize CAD and Visio to create detailed design documents and schematics for MxU telecommunications projects.
- Ensure designs meet all client specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs align with project requirements.
- Building Code Compliance:
- Stay updated on relevant building codes and regulations to ensure compliance in all design activities.
- Incorporate building code requirements into fiber network designs to meet industry standards.
- MXU Experience:
- Demonstrate expertise in designing fiber optic networks for Multi-Dwelling Units, considering the unique challenges and requirements of such projects.
- Optimize designs for scalability and efficiency in MXU environments.
- Client Project Management:
- Act as a technical liaison between clients and project teams. Ensure clear communication and accurate project execution aligned with client needs.
- Provide technical support during the construction phase, addressing any design-related issues that may arise.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain meticulous records of project specifications, adjustments, and compliance documents.
- Ensure all engineering activities adhere to industry standards and best practices.
- Generate reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, including project progress and compliance with design specifications.
- Excel Proficiency:
- Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis, project tracking, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets to manage and organize project-related information.
- RCDD Certification required
- Proven experience as a Fiber Design Engineer, with a focus on telecommunications systems within multi-tenant units.
- Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Visio for telecommunication infrastructure designs
- Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations.
- Advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and project management.
- $70k-$85K per year, depending upon experience
- Mileage reimbursement for vehicle use
