    Controls Engineer
    Full-time
    Blythewood, SC
    Compensation DOE: Up to $120K/yr
    Are you passionate about automation and cutting-edge technology? Our client in Blythewood, SC is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team and play a key role in delivering innovative solutions that drive efficiency and performance in a high-speed production environment.
    What You'll Do:
    • Lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of PLC and CNC systems, ensuring seamless integration and top-tier performance.
    • Perform software upgrades, maintain hardware and software inventories, and provide technical expertise for industrial networks (including ProfiBus).
    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, leveraging diagnostic tools to maintain efficient operations.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams-quality, process, and manufacturing technicians-to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
    • Support PC and networking systems on the shop floor and contribute to hardware design and programming.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and think creatively to solve challenges.
    • Participate in start-ups and demonstrate a "whatever it takes" attitude to deliver results.
    What We're Looking For
    • Strong background in PLC programming, frequency drives, robotics, machine vision, and industrial networking.
    • Experience with Siemens PLCs and CNC systems preferred.
    • Familiarity with Fanuc robot programming and maintenance.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and PC/networking support.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in high-speed manufacturing (automotive preferred).
    • Hands-on experience with Machine Vision, Marking/Welding Lasers, Torque Drivers, and Gauging is a plus.

    Education & Experience
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology.
    • At least 4 years of industrial automation experience.
