The Hospital of Central Connecticut is an acute-care community teaching hospital, providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine and surgery, as well as a wide variety of specialties.
Staffed by a talented team of professionals, The Hospital of Central Connecticut offers services throughout the region, caring for patients from birth through the end of life.
This is a 26-bed medical unit with telemetry and the Stroke Center of Excellence Certification. The staff includes Registered Nurses, Nurse Assistants, and Administrative Support Staff, with attending Physicians and Mid-level providers available 24-7. The unit is equipped with cutting-edge technology, including Electronic Patient Records.
Our staff works in collaborative environments with strong interdisciplinary teams in a patient-centered care model in a diverse work space.
Under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Manager, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies and procedures, and as directed by the medical staff.
The RN utilizes the nursing process to develop a plan of care meeting the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of the patient and family, considering the age group's needs and behaviors.
