    Bachelors or equivalent experience in computer science with extensive industry experience in frontend engineering
    Experience with web development technologies like React and Typescript
    Experience using backend APIs like GraphQL and REST
    Demonstrated impact on developing medium to large-scale projects with clearly defined code structure and a Model-View-Controller (MVC) or equivalent paradigm

    Responsibilities

    Work on the next iteration of the frontend to our internal production platform that is used by a global team of researchers to run research experiments on cloud resources
    Gather frontend requirements from researchers on new and existing features as we continually improve the platform experience
    Write comprehensive design documents and plan feature updates, with an emphasis on generalizing features across research different teams with similar requirements
    Debug and fix any performance bottlenecks in the frontend to ensure researchers have a smooth experience
    Implement and maintain new visualization features for experiment metrics, videos, and images in our web platform with the help of existing tools such as Grafana
    Help improve coding and testing processes along with frontend code quality

    Sony AI America (SAIA) is seeking a highly motivated, self-driven senior frontend engineer with expertise in building and supporting web applications.

    We're currently looking for smart, enthusiastic people who want to join our team of world-renowned researchers as we push the boundaries applying AI in support of human creativity.

    In this role, a successful candidate will build internal web applications tightly integrated with cloud-based infrastructure to support large scale machine learning in challenging domains like computer games, robotics, and gastronomy.
