    Role Overview

    This role supports a busy hospital laboratory by performing routine and complex diagnostic testing.

    The position requires strong technical competency, reliability, and the ability to work independently across multiple lab departments, with a specific emphasis on microbiology.

    Key Responsibilities

    Perform laboratory testing in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, microbiology, and blood bank
    Conduct microbiology procedures including

    plate reading, organism identification, and culture interpretation
    Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and analyzers
    Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results through quality control and quality assurance practices
    Collect, process, and analyze patient specimens following established protocols
    Document results and maintain records in compliance with regulatory and facility standards
    Communicate critical values and collaborate with clinical teams
    Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant laboratory environment
    Qualifications

    Active MLT certification (ASCP or equivalent)
    Completion of an accredited MLT program
    Microbiology experience required, including plate reading
    Minimum of one year of recent hospital laboratory experience preferred
    Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, instrumentation, and safety standards
    Current BLS certification

    from the facility to receive travel stipends

    Must meet all facility compliance and onboarding requirements
