    Description


    This position is responsible for performing various equipment maintenance and repair activities on a wide spectrum of machines. This is a key position for maintenance and manufacturing equipment installations and operation resolutions. It has impact on the ability of manufacturing to meet its production schedules.



    Major Areas of Accountability

    • Ensure that all assigned production equipment is maintained at peak operating effectiveness with minimum downtime (within established budgets/costs)
    • Co-ordinate maintenance with area lead according to production build plans
    • Make recommendations and participate in process and equipment changes/improvements
    • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) during equipment malfunctions.
    • Provide project support for area lead and engineers
    • Coordinate tooling and equipment repair with supplier(s), as needed
    • Train other personnel on trouble shooting and minor machine repairs
    • Maintain supply of spare parts for corrective maintenance activities
    • Communicate/perform effective handoffs with off-going and on-coming maintenance techs and teams
    • Identify quality issues that need further investigation and disposition
    • Follow all relevant safety regulations and promote a positive safety culture

    Basic Qualifications

    • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required, AA or two-year technical degree in relevant discipline preferred.
    • 5+ of maintenance experience with an AA or two-year technical degree or 15+ years of maintenance experience without an AA or two-year technical degree


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Able to work with a variety of machinery and equipment
    • Capable of reading and interpreting specifications/prints
    • Must work well in a team-oriented environment
    • Able to follow procedures and adhere to safety practices
    • Troubleshooting knowledge and skills
    • Experience with pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical machinery
    • Ability to organize and prioritize work
    • Working knowledge of QSR and ISO regulations
    • Basic computer skills
