Job summary
The Dining Services Director supervises all aspects of food service for the community, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff. Maintains cleanliness of the kitchen, dining and storage areas and ensures equipment is clean and in good working order.Responsibilities
- Directs and assists in the preparation and serving of meals to residents, associates, and guests.
- Hires, trains, and supervises dining services staff to ensure proper preparation of food in compliance with policies.
- Maintains copies of menus as served for at least three months
- Ensures that the food service area exceeds sanitation requirements set forth by federal state health regulations.li>Able to maintain quality standards stay within budget for food supplies labor hours.
- Orders all raw food supplies equipment through approved vendors keeps an accurate inventory
- Presents excellent customer service when interacting with residents visitors staff/li>Familiarizes self with specific requests diets each resident Must be alert changes diet orders or resident abilities as well likes dislikes
- Sets up conducts in-service educational training dining services staffMay supervise conduct sessions assigned.
