    We are looking for an experienced Lead Embedded Software Engineer to lead Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) software team and develop embedded software products at our Grand Prairie, Texas site
    An HWIL is used for software development, integration and test for new missile capabilities
    As a Lead Software Engineer, you will work in a team with both technical and career leaders, experiencing all phases of software development, ranging from requirements analysis through code implementation and formal qualification testing

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Software development from requirement analysis to integration, acceptance test, and delivery
    • Guiding the software development team through tasks as defined in the Product Development Process (PDP) in an Agile framework
    • Developing software solutions in line with program requirements
    • Tackling exciting engineering problems to the modernization of legacy capability into the joint weapon system overall effort Additionally, technical leadership of the software team and leading them through the software development process, supporting customer reviews, and successful demonstration activities while providing product leadership
    It is possible that travel will be required to both customer and supplier sites
    It is also possible that travel will be both within and outside the Continental United States (CONUS).

    Basic Qualifications:

    Basic Qualifications :

    • Active secret clearance Embedded software development
    • Realtime Operating systems or Linux environment
    • C/C++ software development
    • Linux command line operation
    • Bash Scripting experience
    • Handson experience related to hardware testing and/or embedded systems and/or a simulation systems
    • Seeker or Radar knowledge of RF, signals & systems, modulation/demodulation, sampling, filtering Design experience

    Desired Skills:

    Desired skills :
    *Software is hardware intensive, candidate should have experience with device drivers, FPGA development, hands-on experience related to hardware testing and embedded systems and simulation systems
    *Experience coordinating with different stakeholders (program management, other engineering disciplines, functional management) to drive program execution
    *Agile experience is preferred
    *Simulation experience desired
    *Experience in defense contracts is preferred - Modern C++ desired - Git, Gitlab, JIRA experience

    Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees
    Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed

    These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
