About the opportunity
Mathematica is looking for a highly organized and enthusiastic Associate to contribute to and support the work of projects related to healthcare policy, including Federal Medicare and Medicaid policy.
As a part of a project team, the Associate will support a range of activities like coordinating and supporting technical assistance, quality measures development and maintenance, and/or research tasks.
A successful candidate will demonstrate a willingness to adapt, be comfortable with ambiguity, collaborate within a functional team, and be flexible in managing their workload.
The Associate will demonstrate a mix of skills, including project and operations management; meeting design and facilitation; communications and dissemination; and qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis.
ResponsibilitiesProvide logistical and operational support to assist with planning complex and diverse projects and tasks, managing schedules, and executing high-quality deliverables to help Mathematica meet client objectives and priorities
Coordinate and support technical assistance tasks, such as oversee logistics for virtual events; coordinate and oversee logistics for stakeholder communications; respond to inquiries and Help Desk questions; maintain and update contact lists; and support updates or improvements for processes and documentation.
Coordinate and support measures tasks, such as update documents describing annual updates to measure methodology; document changes to measure methodology; track public comments and responses to measure changes; and support updates or improvements for processes and documentation.
Support meeting planning, such as scheduling meetings; creating agendas; and drafting meeting summariesSupport deliverable management, such as summarizing task status and performance for monthly reports
Coordinate and support technical assistance and research team's tasks, such as performing literature searches and reviews; abstracting and synthesizing information from program or regulatory documents and reports; supporting focus groups/interviews and support analysis of findings; or summarizing information using descriptive statistics, tables, and figures
Support the design of data collection tools or resources
Assist with project onboarding activities, such as coordinating security training documentation, access to federal systems, and access to project folders and applications
Develop subject matter knowledge to contribute to reports, briefs, memos, presentations, or other technical assistance documents
Actively support the advancement of organizational diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, and apply diversity, equity, and inclusion lens across job responsibilities
Identify and effectively communicate possible solutions to problems to project leadership and opportunities for process improvements to elevate project performance
Additional duties as needed, based on project placement
