    Description
    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Work collaboratively and cooperatively with equipment operator, coworkers and shift superiors to achieve maximum efficiency and throughout.
    • Ensure the highest yield and quality by continuously developing knowledge and understanding of different fruit varieties and how they react to their varietal differences in texture, pressure, core temperature and overall ripeness. Utilize this knowledge to effectively troubleshoot performance problems due to fruit and/or fruit-related mechanical issues.
    • Ensure the highest possible up-time performance and unplanned downtime/machine breakdowns by effectively troubleshooting performance issues, continuous overhaul, and maintenance of subassemblies.
    • Recommend or implement improvements to equipment, parts, processing, preventative and predictive maintenance programs, etc. to reduce or eliminate repeated issues.
    • Assess the fruit (read fruit) coming off the Atlas machines and make the necessary adjustments on equipment, etc. ensuring the highest yield, quality, and effectiveness of equipment.
    • Provide accurate and timely information on all parts usage. Report immediately any part quality problems, as well as any unusual part failures.
    Qualifications:
    • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    Education and / or Experience:
    • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    Oral / Written Communication:
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
    • Works well in group problem-solving situations.
    • Focuses on solving conflict and remains open to other ideas to better policies and procedures.
    Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently and for extended periods of time required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, bend, twist and reach into machines with arms fully extended to make machine repairs, crouch or crawl, climb up stairs and ladders, walk or crawl over and under machinery and conveyors, lift parts, motors, pumps and gearbox assemblies up and down stairs and ladders. Some parts require lifting, balancing, and aligning, while tightening bolts in a sitting, bending, kneeling, or laying position, Some parts must be carried up a step ladder, held, and balanced above the head while installing and tightening bolts. Adaptability:
    • Adapts to changes in the work environment; able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
    Quality/Quantity:
    • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness. Meets productivity standards and completes work in a timely manner.
    Safety and Security:
    • Reports unsafe conditions. Uses equipment and materials properly. Keeps work area clean and organized.
