- Log in samples and communicate with customers to determine work requests.
- Prepare solid and fluid samples for analysis.
- Perform sample extractions, SEM imaging and spectroscopy, particle analysis, x-ray diffraction, and other analyses as needed.
- Prepare crude oil samples for analysis, process for bulk properties, and long-term storage.
- Provide secondary analytical support across all sections of the tech center.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and operate multiple pieces of equipment necessary to conduct experiments.
- Perform routine lab maintenance, housekeeping, and sample inventory management.
- Bachelor or Associate degree in materials science, chemical engineering, chemistry, or other related scientific discipline.
- Experience working in a laboratory setting.
- Experience with scanning electron microscopy, materials characterization, including imaging, spectroscopy, and elemental analysis.
