    Description
    Orthodontic Assistant - FT or PT
    The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year experience as an orthodontic dental assistant, be a people person who is detailed oriented, and enjoys working in a team environment Must have a positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills to develop a good report with patients and parents.

    Must be comfortable with the following duties and preferably hold the following certifications:
    • Chairside assistance to orthodontist & preparation of the procedure.
    • Comfortable assisting independently with knowledge of bonding, debonds, wire, and bracket placement.
    • Use of 3D scanner & fabrication of dental appliances such as Essix retainer .
    • Knowledgeable with aligners systems and using Itero machine.
    • Confidently speak to patients and parents.
    • Responsible for stocking and ordering supplies.
    • Sterilization of instruments and clinical bays to turn over for the next patient.
    • Cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
    • Knowledgeable with computers, Cloud9 software a plus.
    • Currently have Maryland X-ray Certifications and Expanded Functions Certificate in Orthodontics or must obtain MD Certifications within 6 months of employment.
