The Undergraduate Student Senate is looking for a dynamic and dedicated professional to join the team as the Operations Coordinator under the supervision of the Deputy Director for the Undergraduate Student Senate (USS).

The Operations Coordinator will be responsible for managing the finances of the organization and its committees, supporting the daily activities of the Undergraduate Student Senate, and nurturing student leaders.

The Undergraduate Student Senate at Virginia Tech operates as a servant leadership organization guided by the principles of Ut Prosim.

The Coordinator for USS Operations should exhibit a strong commitment to Virginia Tech's Aspirations for Student Learning and the Principles of Community.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in student affairs or higher education.
• Proficiency in budget management, customer service, and a dedication to diversity and inclusion.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Devotion to student success and growth through mentorship.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for teamwork with colleagues and students.

• Familiarity with accounts payable, general ledger, and accounting principles.
• Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or related field.
• Experience advising student organizations, interpreting university policies, and facilitating leadership programs.
• Proven track record in budgeting, university finances, and financial planning.
• Knowledge of financial software like Banner Finance, HokieMart, Chrome River, or similar programs.

• This role requires Monday to Friday availability from 8 am to 5 pm, with flexibility for evenings and weekends if necessary.
