    Reporting to the SVP Marketing and Public Relations, the AVP Communications is responsible for leading efforts to promote the Nuvision and related brands, develop PR strategies and tactics around PR campaigns that promote senior executives, key strategic initiatives & thought leadership throughout Credit Union network and related industries and local communities that Nuvision serves.

    This person will drive external media opportunities for Nuvision executives and is responsible for preparation and implementation of the strategic communications plan, with a focus on delivering positive exposure for the brand and key executive leaders developing messages for influencers and decision makers and maintaining relationships with the right media outlets to disseminate the Nuvision message.

    In addition, the position will create and implement internal communication strategies that will inform and enhance the overall employee culture in all markets.

    Responsibilities

    :


    Prepares and executes an annual Communications Strategy plan for each local Nuvision market and for National Credit Union/ Banking industry media outlets.

    Responsible for activities involved in managing and orchestrating all internal and external communications aimed at creating favorable point of view among stakeholders.

    Proactively defines and prepares key executives for media opportunities that align with Nuvision' s brand, core values and thought leadership.

    Implements communication strategies to drive positive team member engagement and organizational culture.

    Drive positive media exposure and coverage in all markets we serve, the credit union industry and related financial services verticals.

    develop personal relationships with key influencer media contacts in each market that Nuvision serves and maintains in a media contacts database, prioritized by relationship value (scale 1-10).

    Prepare a monthly activity report of interactions with these influencers and report on monthly media coverage.

    Work in conjunction with the Community and Engagement Manager to support and participate in planning of community engagement activities and events and provide internal communications/engagement plan and external media relations plan with specific success metrics.

    Implement media relations plan by ensuring target media relations have been personally communicated via verbal communication.
    Drive PR relationships and media coverage for Nuvision.

    Monitor & Track related Nuvision (Denali) news mentions on all media platforms in all markets and communicate highlights to staff in a monthly blog with daily updates as needed.

    Report impact of key member events by preparing a full report for SVP, Head of Marketing. of media coverage/value/reach.
    Supports Field of Membership Activities and reporting needs.
    Supports and participates in continuous improvement activities.
    Represents the Credit Union in a positive and professional manner.
    Maintains member, team members and other sensitive information with confidentiality.
    Treats co-workers and members with respect.
    Supports member relations and events that promotes member centric experiences.
    Other related duties as assigned.
    Qualifications:

    Minimum five years of communications experience
    Leading Public Relations
    Experience working with cross-functional teams.
    Internal Communications & Engagement.
    Driving culture.
    Project management.
    Building consensus and buy-in.
    Experience working with all different media channels such as, print, web, social, radio and television.
    Familiarity with financial products, services and general financial industry.
    Modern channels and tools of communication including but not limited to social media.
    How to build media relationships.

    Proficient with computers and computer software applications with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (including spreadsheets, word processing and presentation software).

    Ability to develop media connections.
    Proven copy writing skills.
    Member service - ability to actively listen, analyze information, generate solutions as well as identify and meet member needs.
    Effectively communicate key messages to internal/external audiences to influence and achieve positive outcomes with various audiences.
    Proven ability to establish key contacts in local and national media organizations to generate PR coverage.
    Must be able to coordinate, manage and guide multiple priorities and projects simultaneously and effectively through to completion.

    Demonstrated ability to communicate with stakeholders, gather requirements, understand intricacies (interrelation between members needs/wants, product offerings, legal compliance and system capabilities) and develop thoughtful solutions.

    Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits.

    Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and outside of the organization.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong interpersonal and consulting skills.
    Ability to compose and provide reports either through Excel or Prism.
    Education:

    Bachelor's degree in related field (Communications) or equivalent
    Pay scale by applicable geographic location:

    California:

    $86, $108,395.84

    The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, job related training/education, etc.
