NYS Information Technology Services (ITS) is seeking a Software Architect Expert

Day to Day task include:

Production support of existing applications
Analysis, design, coding, and unit/integration testing
Create and update program specification and detail design documentation
Application performance tuning
Mentor junior programmers
Application development for modernization effort

Requested Qualification

72 months of experience with Java programming in an IBM environment development using IBM's Rational Application Developer (RAD) and WebSphere Application Server (WAS)
84 months of experience developing tax processing systems in a federal, state or municipal agency
84 months installing, configuring, patching, testing Open Text Exstream software and architecting the design of complex business applications
84 months of IBM Mainframe COBOL programming experience
84 months of IBM DB2 for z/OS experience

Work hours and location:

Full time role with engagement length of 30 months
Daily work hours: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (negotiable)
Physical office location: W A Harriman Campus - Bldg. 8, Albany, NY, 12227
Fully Onsite. No telecommution option.
