    Job Description


    We are seeking a skilled and compassionate X-Ray Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing radiographic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high standards of care and image quality.

    Responsibilities

    • Verify patients' identity and review physician's orders prior to beginning x-ray procedures.
    • Utilize x-ray equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' bones, tissues, and organs as per physician instructions.
    • Explain x-ray procedures to patients and address any questions or concerns they may have.
    • Position patients accurately for imaging, including assisting those with limited mobility.
    • Handle radiologic equipment safely and ensure minimal radiation exposure to patients.
    • Observe each patient's status and interpret the relevant information for age-specific needs.
    • Produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by Radiologists.
    • Notify management promptly regarding any damaged or malfunctioning x-ray equipment.
    • Utilize electronic patient information systems to verify patient details and ensure accurate record-keeping.

    Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

    • Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
    • Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
    • New York State license (or ability to obtain prior to starting).
    • Two years of X-ray Technologist experience, preferably in a Level 1 trauma center.
    • Recent OR experience with c-arm/o-arm within the past 8 months.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
