    $55,000 - $95,000SUMMARYKW Renewable Engineering is looking for an amazingly talented Project Engineer to join our Structural team In this role, you will get to design structural components for a variety of renewable energy projects. In this role, the Project Engineer provides engineering support to project teams. At this level, this individual is gaining experience and will be able to take on some tasks without supervision. The individual must understand design and independently prepare technical engineering plans and effectively collaborate with technicians to complete technical design plans. The project engineer will provide assistance in all technical aspects of projects, conduct engineering research, assessments, and coordinate with private consultants and public agencies.
    RESPONSIBILITIESCarries out tasks assigned by the Project Lead and engineering team.
    Uses engineering judgment to perform duties and knows when to ask questions, seek assistance or perform independent research.

    Manages personal time allotted to various tasks to meet the obligations of one or more projects, including budget, quality, and schedule.

    Develops working drawings for structural design plans in AutoCAD (preparation of project specific solar product typical details and specifications, ground mount and rooftop mount foundation and anchorage plans, structural framing detailing, site retaining walls and other site equipment and foundation details, etc.) from sketches.

    Assist the engineer of record on design of on-site and off-site improvements for the planning and construction of commercial, industrial, retail and/or high-density residential projects.

    Determination of project structural design criteria per ASCE 7,Effectively interacts with peers, clients, and sub-consultant.

    Willingness and ability to learn other Civil design skills and respective software such as Agtek, for use with Hydrology/Hydraulic studies for respective projects and PVCase a software used to model utility scale ground mount installationsEDUCATION/EXPERIENCEBachelors degree in civil engineering with a Structural emphasis or an equivalent level of experience3-5 years of experience in structural engineeringEngineering in training (EIT) preferred.

    General knowledge of computers, Microsoft office, Adobe, Internet, etc.

    Steel design, welding and bolted connection design, concrete and anchorage design, ASCE 7 load take-off experienceAdditional software experience a plus, e.g.

    Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Civil 3, Visual Analysis, RISA 3D, STAAD, RetainPro, or other structural design related softwareSKILLSEmployee Self-Management SkillsCollaboration:
