    Description

    This is a full-time internship position for our Summer Rotation, from June 3, 2024 through August 16, 2024 in Columbus, OH.

    The Data Scientist - IT Intern will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of functions and responsibilities across the department.

    The intern will attend daily/weekly standups and showcase progress and successes to stakeholders.

    They will also work on AI/Data Science and Innovation use cases and serve as IT operations with reference to AI.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Collaborate with business partners and IT departments to understand company needs and develop possible solutions
    Keep up to date with latest technology trends
    Communicate results and ideas to key decision makers
    Support implementation of new statistical or other mathematical methodologies as needed for specific models or analysis
    Optimize joint development efforts through appropriate database use and project design
    Facilitate organization aspects of data and analytics symposium (Internal analytical community event)
    Assist the lead data scientist within the department with process and tools to build and monitor AI models
    Visualize key business data and key performance metrics
    Support with IT operations

    The hourly rate for Undergraduate students is $26.00
    The hourly rate for Graduate students is $32.00

    The selected student's academic level will be used to determine the final pay rate. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.

    Qualifications

    Requirements:
    Currently enrolled in a master's degree program at an accredited college or university

    Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)

    Have completed at least 30 college credit hours at time of application

    Field of study:
    Computer Science, IT, Data Science, AI, or related field

    Must attach a copy of college unofficial transcript

    Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week)

    Proficient working knowledge of R or Python programming

    Excellent time-management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

    Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information

    Self-motivated, adaptable to a dynamic environment
