- Direct Patient Care: Estimated 95% of the time involved in direct patient care.
- Evaluation, Treatment and Management:
- Admission, including history and physical examinations
- Appropriate placement within the hospital
- Discussion of end-of-life preferences/advanced care planning
- Consultations with sub-specialists
- Timely and proactive discharge planning
- Coordination of care with primary care physician
- Discharge, including ensuring appropriate follow-up is arranged
- Candidate Requirements:
- CV (minimum of 3 years experience in the last 5 years)
- At least 3 years of experience within the last 5 years in any of the following specialties: Hospital Medicine.
- M.D. or D.O. and successful completion of postgraduate training.
- BLS Certification or ACLS (check expiration date)
- Valid, unrestricted medical license in at least 1 state, territory, or commonwealth of the U.S.
- Immunizations / Covid 19
- Copy of CMEs
- National Provider Identifier [NPI]
- DEA Certificate
- Must be a US Citizen or Legal Resident
- Nights: 4:00 PM - 8:00 AM, Monday through Friday, including Federal Holidays, 24-hour or 48-hour weekend coverage.
- Board certified by the Society of Hospital Medicine / The American Board of Internal Medicine
