- Design mechanical, pneumatic, fuel, and hydraulic aerospace parts such as manifolds, filters, and valves; similar parts as well.
- Ability to work with clients as needed to support opportunity development through start of production.
- Provide technical recommendations for new product development and improvement of current products.
- Create detailed engineering drawings and specs using Pro-E or Solidworks.
- Product Life Cycle (PLM) using Enovia, Windchill, or TeamCenter
- Perform structural, fluid analysis, and thermal analysis.
- Conduct feasibility studies
- Strong communication skills so as to interface with suppliers, customers, and internal departments.
- Knowledge of Aerospace and Military standards.
- Blueprint reading, GD&T, Tolerance stack-ups
- Understanding of machining and machine shop practices
- Hands on design experience in mechanical, electro- mechanical and hydraulic components
- Experience in hydraulic valves and components
- Understanding of Fluid flow
- Some understanding of stress analysis and FEA
- Experience as a technical lead that has taken projects from proposal through design, qualification, and production release
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as FAA regulations and AS9100 quality management system.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in an Aerospace design and manufacturing environment
- Experience in Hydraulic and pneumatic components highly desirable
