- Mentor and educate Apprentice Electricians
- Ability to work in all elements depending on job location and time of year
- Must be able to stand, sit, walk, kneel, stoop, or drive for long periods of time
- Must physically be capable of lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs
- Must be physically capable of manually digging and back-filling of holes and trenches
- Installation of electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment
- Set switchgear, panels, and other distribution equipment
- Measure, cut and bend conduit
- Trace out short circuits in wiring, along with troubleshooting other electrical issues
- Make minor electrical repairs
- Maintain tools and equipment
- Work closely with Apprentice and Master Electricians, Foreman, and Project Managers
- Lead apprentices to allow learning and development
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills with efficient communication
- Manage project files, drawings, documents and records in our system
- Perform in accordance with the National Electrical Code

Journeyman / Master Electrician – Laketown Electric is a large commercial and industrial electrical contractor with offices in the Twin Cities, Mankato, and Rochester, MN. Our projects consist of the maintenance and construction of commercial buildings, educational facilities, industrial facilities, and healthcare facilities.
Established in 1975, we maintain a consistent workload and growth, so we have a strong backlog throughout 2024 and beyond.
Laketown Electric Corporation is seeking multiple positions for Journeyman and Master Electricians to join our award-winning team. Projects range throughout southern Minnesota and work from our Mankato branch, it is important to give our employees a great work/life balance with time for their families.
