    Dignity Health Mercy San Juan Medical Center is a 370-bed not-for-profit Level 2 Trauma Center located in Carmichael California serving the areas of north Sacramento County and south Placer County for more than 50 years.     Responsibilities

    Under the direction of the designated Manager or designee the incumbent assists with the monitoring of the employees assigned to the above units to ensure a safe and secure environment for all who enter Mercy San Juan Medical Center. The incumbent also has initial responsibility for the smooth running of the various units in the best interest of patient care. Under general supervision regularly performs a variety of supervisory and complex duties as outlined below involving review or processing which regularly requires the interpretation and application of specialize technical or program knowledge and exercises a high degree of independence initiative and originality with little day-to-day supervision. May have access to or be required to distribute drugs needles or syringes from storage locations (such as large stock supplies automated dispensing units and other carts) to/within patient care areas or treatment carts as defined by hospital policy/procedure.

  • Qualifications

    Minimum Required

  • Experience in a health care setting 3 years
  • Associates degree
  • Experience ordering and procedure scheduling in hospital systems Medical Terminology
  • Perferred:

  • Preferred supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor of Arts or Sciences degree in a health related field or equivalent experience.
  • Specific knowledge of regulatory requirements related to confidentiality, release of patient information and quality improvement.
  • Experience ordering and procedure scheduling in hospital systems Medical Terminology
  • Preferred experience in Heartlab PACS, McKesson PACS, Emix, Radnet, Cerner, MS4, EFR, Teletracking, Lawson, and Mac Lab.
