    Description

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are sterile and ready for use.
    • Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and other supplies as needed.
    • Maintain aseptic technique throughout surgical procedures to minimize the risk of infection.
    • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide support as required.
    • Monitor patients' vital signs during surgery and communicate any changes or concerns to the surgical team.
    • Collect and document data related to surgical procedures, including patient information, surgical instruments used, and any complications or issues that arise.
    • Assist with patient care before, during, and after surgery, including positioning patients, preparing incision sites, and applying dressings.

    Qualifications:

    • Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program.
    • Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to assist with surgical procedures.
    • Experience working in an acute care or ambulatory surgery center setting is preferred.
    • Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems such as Epic for data collection.
    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols for maintaining aseptic technique.
    • Ability to work well under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
    • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with the surgical team and provide patient care.
