    The title, grade level and incentive target assigned to the successful candidate will be determined based upon the skills and relevant experience of the candidate learned through the interview process.

    This role will provide support for relay system protection portion of major substation capital Projects (4kV- 500kV) from inception to successful completion in terms of safety, reliability, functional performance requirements, timely completion within scope and budget.

    Job ResponsibilitiesWorking with multiple Project Teams to ensure Operating Division concurrence on all major Project design and system protection issues.

    Develop relay settings and test value procedures; Provide technical assistance to field personnel in implementing relay settings and to assist in troubleshooting during testing and commissioning phase.

    Perform 'fault' analysis to determine correct relay operation during failures review protection drawings and providing protection recommendation; analysis of system event; outage coordination and contingency planning; assisting with scope lockdown, assisting Project Integration group and project council, providing communications for standards issues and process improvements and responding to electric transmission and distribution system emergencies.

    Be able to provide system protection technical support on call and during off-hours in response to system emergencies and equipment failures.

    Interface with other technical and project disciplines to support project schedules and milestones. Provide relay recommendations for scoping documents. Provide technical support during commissioning phases of projects.


    Job Specific QualificationsRequired:
    B.S. in Electrical Engineering0-2 years of relevant experienceMust possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
    Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
