- Opening and closing the pool each day according to scheduled hours
- Closely monitoring activities related to the pool area, identifying any safety issues throughout shift
- Directing swimmers out of water in dangerous conditions
- Closely monitoring weather reports to make sure guests remain safe
- Organizing and overseeing pool activities for different programs and age groups
- Maintaining a clean pool environment
- Current Lifeguard Certification.
- H.S. Diploma or G.E.D.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Previous camp experience with persons with disabilities ( preferred)
- Minimum of One Year Experience working with children (preferred)

Job DescriptionLifeguards are responsible for the health and safety of campers while in the pool and canoeing areas. Lifeguards are responsible for providing high quality primary care and support for the safety and activities of daily living of camper. Lifeguards engage appropriate practices that support social, emotional, cognitive, and communication development. Lifeguards develop, implement, and support activities coordinators and management in execution of all camp programming.
PAY RATE: $20.00 hour
