    Job Summary:
    SumBridge is hiring a Senior Accountant to join our rapidly growing Startup client. This role is 100% remote and permanent. The Senior Accountant can work anywhere within the US.

    The Senior Accountant will be focusing time in General Ledger tasks, including processing journal entries, and detailed reconciliation work, participating in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end work.

    This person needs to have strong accrual based accounting knowledge and must be successful working in a changing environment as this company is scaling quickly.

    This role offers a well-rounded compensation plan that includes base compensation, an equity option, and benefits.

    Job Duties:
    Manage the monthly and quarterly close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
    Oversee customer invoicing and revenue recognition, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policy.
    Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analyses.
    Ensure proper maintenance of general ledger accounts, and perform account reconciliations and adjustments as needed.
    Coordinate with Financial Controller to prepare and file sales tax returns and other regulatory filings.

    Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls, policies, and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.

    Provide support for financial audits and assist in implementing audit recommendations.

    Assist the FP&A team with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting activities to enhance controllership and ensure the organization meets financial goals and targets.

    Identify and pursue opportunities for reducing working capital.
    Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation is desired.
    Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in warehouse or 3PL environment.
    Proficiency in Quick Books Online, , and Microsoft Excel.

    High proficiency in data toolsets like Excel (PowerPivot, Advanced Formulas, Linking to Web and Databricks Data), Databricks, and QuickBooks Online.

    Strong understanding of GAAP and experience with financial reporting and revenue recognition.
    Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
    Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Ability to collaborate with team members across departments and contribute to a positive work environment.
