    This role involves creating a safe and nurturing learning space for students under in-school suspension.

    Responsibilities
    • Act professionally, respectfully, and warmly at all times.
    • Foster a customer-centric environment, offering top-notch services and support to the school community.
    • Support and uphold the school's mission and vision.
    • Establish a structured and positive learning atmosphere for in-school suspension students, providing supervision as needed.
    • Support teachers by overseeing student assignments and ensuring completion.
    • Provide guidance and support with assignments.
    • Address inappropriate behavior with students and provide tools for improvement.
    • Assist with other tasks when not monitoring in-school suspensions.
    • Ensure safety in various school areas.
    • Adhere to disciplinary policies and laws.
    • Support classrooms and administration as assigned.
    • Communicate effectively to keep supervisors informed of any issues.
    • Follow safety procedures diligently.
    • Collaborate with school staff and stakeholders.
    • Be punctual and attend work regularly.
    • Maintain confidentiality.
    • Follow the Teacher Code of Ethics.
    • Complete necessary forms and documentation.
    • Attend or schedule parent conferences as required.
    • Use technology for record-keeping and reporting.
    • Perform general tasks such as answering calls, receiving faxes, or filing.
    • Execute other assigned duties.
    Qualifications
    Knowledge/Education/Experience:

    High school diploma or GED is a must. An Associate's Degree or higher is preferred. Minimum one year of successful experience in behavioral improvement for students and urban school exposure is desired. Equivalent education and experience will be considered.

    Skills/Qualifications:

    • Demonstrated ability to assess situations and apply behavior management strategies effectively.
    • Strong collaboration skills with school stakeholders.
    • Ability to follow instructions.
    • Influential in guiding students towards positive behavior for academic success.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Compensation: Salary is determined based on relevant education and experience.
