    Job Summary

    Responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction on financial activities for Engineering Team. Guides management on financial-related matters and decisions and advises on how it will impact strategic objectives. Manages financial analysis inquires for the Central Engineering group. Contributes to the development and execution of business team priorities by participating in issue identification, analysis, and resolution.

    Key leader in continuous improvement initiatives in the Engineering organization, driving improvements in processes, systems, planning, and reporting through lean practices.

    Works collaboratively across Engineering Finance team.
    Responsibilities


    Lead the process and consolidation of annual Long Range Product Plan, Long Range Plan, budget, forecasts, and outlooks throughout the year and identifies risk & opportunities with the engineering team.

    Collaborate with business leaders to understand key priorities of program and employee spend within engineering.

    Facilitate financial review meetings with engineering leadership team and partner with business unit Finance to understand and drive business unit performance.

    Provide support for Engineering leadership presentations and communications. Preparation of Budget & LRPP presentations, MOR Reviews, Quarterly Financials and adhoc reports.
    Lead financial close and analysis of monthly actual results versus budget and forecast. Provide strategic recommendations, trend analysis, risks, and direction for the Engineering team.

    Drive process improvement across all aspects of the engineering financial processes including implementation and/or enhancement of IT systems used to support the Engineering Annual planning cycle, such as OneStream, PPM, BI, Alteryx, etc.

    Responsible for on-going review, audit and compliance of Engineering financial systems and activities to ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP.

    Work closely to develop partnerships with the Engineering leadership team and Finance GBU partners, to understand the various aspects of the business and the impact change has on financial performance of Engineering and the company.

    Manage direct reports and provide a positive working environment. Establish and manage clear goals and expectations for the team.
    Miscellaneous projects and ad hoc analysis as required.
    Experience & Skills

    6-12 years of finance/accounting experience including senior level and managerial experience is required.
    Experience using and implementing financial processes/tools such as OneStream / Alteryx / Power BI.
    Ability to analyze complex data and translate it into actionable information and plans.
    Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships in a matrix environment with multiple customers and evaluators.
    Experience communicating, reporting, and influencing executive leadership in a strategic partnership capacity. Strong business acumen.
    Proven success in driving change and leading process improvement within finance and business support systems.
    Detail oriented, possess strong analytical skills and strong knowledge of Excel financial modeling.
    Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives at once.
    Education

    Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting required. MBA is preferred.
