General Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing healthcare to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in various residential settings. Duties include working with medical professionals, offering health-related consultation and training, monitoring medications, and maintaining proper documentation.

Education: Graduated from an accredited nursing school and licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Texas State Board of Registered Nurse Examiners

Experience: Preferred one year of experience working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities in a community setting

Licenses/Certifications: Texas Licensed Registered Nurse, Valid Texas driver's license

Special Training: Knowledgeable in current nursing practices, principles specific to different age groups, and computer proficiency

Special Requests or Comments: Physical ability to complete training modules such as Satori Alternative to Managing Aggressive Behavior (SAMA), CPR, First Aid, and Defensive Driving. Must have an insurable driving record and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements: Includes sight, hearing, lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, sitting, walking, bending, driving, and dexterity

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Some after-hours work and on-call rotation required with additional compensation

Salary: $54,075 annual salary
