    The Cardiovascular Recovery Unit (CVR) at Missouri Baptist Medical Center is a 10-bed critical care nursing unit for post-operative cardiac, vascular and thoracic patients and for patients requiring high intensity care including positive pressure ventilation and invasive monitoring.

    Supports the operational functions of the department as related to: reporting, payroll, service recovery, staff communication, staff data collection and reporting, staff competencies and regulatory readiness compliance.

    Works collaboratively with other members of the leadership team to lead staff in clinical and service excellence.

    Perform service recovery related to physician and bed management issues; Ensure staff meet regulatory, unit and BJC competency requirements; determine individual or unit corrective plan if audit discloses readiness issues; Review staff hours worked vs scheduled hours and determine appropriate disposition if variation exists.

    Perform and approval daily payroll updated. Reconcile time cards, bonus tracking and coding approval. Prepare, coordinate and execute all staff communications; make nursing assignments as well as assign overtime.

    Interview staff for open positions; evaluate and conduct performance reviews as assigned; Manages individual(s) including but not limited to:
    onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Nursing Diploma/Associate's - Nursing Experience
