POSITION INFORMATION
Job Summary:
Responsible for designing and modifying existing electrical design and drawings for Engel Automation cell and ENGEL Robots. Technical support for Customer Service Department (CSD).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Provides electrical design for ENGEL Automation
o Creates and modifies electrical circuitry using CAD programs such as Promis and E-Plan P8
o Third party supplier research and management for electrical design
o Assists the automation engineering with quoting process
o Maintains documentation of automation cells
o Create documentation packages for technicans
o Create specifications for sub-suppliers
•Creates bills of materials for new automation projects & retrofits
o Creates new Engel part numbers as necessary, maintaining and updating product equipment history
•Provides technical support
o Provides technical support to the project engineering and assembly departments as well as technical assistance to service technicians and customers
•Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by a supervisor
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Educational/Training Requirement:
Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET), Electromechanical Engineering Technology
(EMET)
Experience:
•Minimum of 3-5 years related experience (preferred in Robotic and/or Automation)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
•Proficient with Microsoft office, Promis, E-Plan P8, SAP, and Adobe
•Knowledge of NFPA79, NEC, CSA, UL508A
•Knowledge of industrial safety standards for automation and injection molding machines
•Good communication skills as this role develops and maintains relationships both internally (e.g., other departments, senior management) and externally to ENGEL Machinery (e.g., government representatives, customers, suppliers, industry associations)
