    Summary: Senior Healthcare Transactions Counsel

    Key Responsibilities of the Senior Healthcare Transactions Counsel include:

    • Providing guidance to Junior Attorneys on contractual matters, particularly in physician agreements.
    • Handling negotiations and advising on various healthcare transactions like M&A, joint ventures, provider contracts, and other clinical agreements.
    • Offering counsel on a range of healthcare business and operational issues, along with ensuring compliance with regulations such as HIPAA, Stark Law, and Anti-Kickback Statute.
    • Overseeing clinical transactional projects, including conducting due diligence processes.
    • Addressing any legal, transactional, or compliance issues that may arise within the healthcare setting.
    • Collaborating with and providing guidance to professionals and business leaders involved in healthcare transactions.

    Qualifications for the Healthcare Transactions Counsel role:

    • Must hold a JD from an accredited Law School.
    • Active membership in the Connecticut State Bar.
    • Minimum of 8 years' experience in Healthcare with a focus on provider contracts, mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
    • Comprehensive understanding of Healthcare compliance regulations including Anti-Kickback and Stark Law.
    • Previous experience in leading teams or overseeing colleagues is advantageous.
