    A Day in the Life
    Reporting to the Director of Operations, the District Manager is responsible for the operational functions of the assigned stores in their specified geographic region

    (Seekonk / Providence areas). The DM typically spend 2-3 days per week in each of their assigned stores and will have approximately 3-5 stores as their responsibility.

    Effective District Managers (DMs) are highly experienced retail industry leaders that have a thorough understanding of profitable retail and successful customer satisfaction strategies, as well as being the champions of company culture with their store.

    They possess strong analytical skills and are effective independent problem solvers. DMs hire, train and develop their management and employee teams.

    Other responsibilities include ensuring region-wide customer satisfaction, store appearance, effective inventory levels and product quality while managing the territory's financial performance and managing the safety and security within their stores.

    *Responsibilities*
    (including but not limited to)
    Spend majority of time focused on sales and operations at each of the assigned locations

    Required to visit each store on a weekly rotating basis

    Build a culture of high standards including developing and motivating General Manager and Sales Associate team members

    Focus on increasing operational efficiencies and greater policy/process adherence

    Oversee achieving of store sales quotas by Associates and GM

    Review and approve weekly timesheets for payroll

    Review store inventory product orders prepared by General Managers

    Be the first point of contact for issue resolution for stores

    Conduct local marketing and business development initiatives

    Execute thorough store inspections once per month per store and initiate corrective action if needed. Reports of inspections to be provided to the Director on a monthly basis

    Complete performance objectives as established by upper management to include meeting deadlines

    Conduct monthly post-sales analysis to determine financial impact of sales activity (i.e. product discounting)

    Ensure GMs conduct accurate inventory reconciliation, control and delivery including inventory aging policies

    Head up weekly team meetings and supply the GM with the agenda

    Other duties as assigned by the Director


    Position Qualifications:
    2 years experience in supervising, managing and training of employees

    Strong leadership skills including effective interpersonal communication

    Strong organizational and time management skills

    Strong computer skills (MS Office & G-Suite)

    Familiarity with POS & inventory systems (NetSuite a definite plus)

    Self-motivated and works independently with minimal supervision

    Positive mental attitude and believe what we do

    Creative thinker

    Team player; Humble; Accountable

    Ability to travel to stores on a weekly basis requiring multiple overnight stays

    Reliable transportation, valid drivers license and clean driving record

    Must work a minimum 5 day work week which periodically includes weekends &/or holidays


    Physical Requirements:
    Extended periods of time standing

    Lifting up to 50 pounds

    Occasional bending, stooping, pulling, lifting

    Ability to climb a ladder for restocking inventory

    Repetitive motion tasks while doing computer work
