    Axient -:SPACEOverview:Seeking a Sr Cyber Security Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA.You will provide Information Assurance (IA) and Cybersecurity support for the MILSATCOM Capability area.

    The MILSATCOM portfolio of programs has an ongoing need for IA/Cybersecurity support, to meet the needs of our emerging next-generation protected SATCOM.


    Responsibilities:

    Responsibilities:
    Obtain and maintain Authority to Operate ( ATO ) documentation, support continuous monitoring or periodic scans of networked assets and conduct/ oversee defensive cyber, threat intel, threat hunting, malware analysis, countermeasures/ corrective action, and network analysisSupport the SSC with ensuring security, quality, timeliness, mission partner support, completeness, and regulatory compliance ofATO RMFdocumentationSupport the following responsibilities: security control assessor (SCA) and Security Technical Implementation Guide ( STIG ) curated to DOD/DAF/USSF baselines, audit standards, and plan of actions and milestones ( POAM )

    Attend cleared expert threat briefings; have oversight of security program design, incident response plans, cyber risk assessments, and attack surface assessments; investigate security breaches, perform red, blue, purple, ethical hacking, orchestrate vulnerability assessment, develop security protocols, conduct tabletop exercises, and breach readiness reviewsPerform systems engineering activities in the areas of cybersecurity, Assessment & Authorization ( A&A ), cryptographic System Security Engineering (SSE), and Certification & Accreditation (C&A), in accordance to NIST RMF and NSA requirements and regulationsQualifications:
    Required skills:Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline6+ yearsof work experience in Information Assurance/Cybersecurity4 years of work experience in Cybersecurity may be considered in lieu of Bachelors degreeUnderstanding of modern computing architectures includingCI/CD, microservices, cloud, and containertechnologiesKnowledge and experience with public and private key governance/theory, Encryption Algorithms (substitution and transposition) as a Service, and Mathematical principles behind encryptionExperience with leading risk management efforts to achieve and maintain authorization for systems using DoD RMFs toolsExperience with delivering cybersecurity architecture and engineering servicePreferred skills:Masters degree in Computer Science/Engineering with emphasis in IA/Cyber Security10+ years of work experience in IA/Cyber Security10+ years of work experience in System Engineering Architecture/DesignDoD Space program experienceRMF or DIACAP Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V)NIST and CNSSI 1253 RMF Analysis and AccreditationNetwork EngineeringCommunications SystemsSecurity Test and Evaluation (ST&E)Security certification (CISSP)#CJ#CJ#J-18808-Ljbffr
