    We are seeking a motivated individual who can learn to apply crop protection products and assist in our agronomy and grain operations.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Includes but not limited to the following:
    Learn how to apply agronomy products to customers fields including dry and liquid fertilizer, chemicals, NH3, and lime.
    Learn and understand the chemistry of the chemicals used with application.
    Communicate daily activities, needs, and accomplishments with superintendent, Account Manager, or Location Lead.

    Learn how to maintain and increase agronomy and feed sales, grain origination and marketing with existing customers and grow business with new customers, as applicable.

    Assist in housekeeping and maintenance of facilities andgrounds.
    Assist with outbound and inbound agronomy products.
    Operate all equipment and vehicles according to Landus policy and procedure along with all local, state, and federal laws.
    Learn how to maintain and record maintenance of application equipment, tending equipment, NH3 equipment, pickups and side dress units.
    Assist with measurement of inventory of dry and liquid fertilizers, NH3, lime, and chemicals.
    Learn how to scout fields for insects and weeds in the absence of Account manager and Superintendent.
    Learn and understand how to operate dry fertilizer plants, chemical containment buildings, and NH3 plants.
    Understand customer licensing requirements for restricted-use pesticides.
    Understand the capabilities and limitations of equipment (floaters, rogators, tool bars, etc.)
    Assist in all aspects of grain, agronomy, and feed operations as needed within Landus to drive profitability.


    Education and experience needed:
    High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and related experience and/or training.

    Experience in operating large equipment is required.

    Must have or be able to obtain a commercial pesticide applicators license with 1A, 1B, and 1C endorsements.

    Must pass a drug test and background check.

    Must be able to move/lift up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 100 pounds.

    Other skills that will help you succeed:
    The ability to obtain a Class A CDL with air brake, tanker, and HazMat endorsements. Landus will assist and train the right candidate.

    Mechanically inclined.

    Communication and interpersonal skills.

    Excellent driving record.
