    Sous Chef / Assistant Kitchen Manager

    Chicken N Pickle is a lively venue and restaurant that focuses on delivering top-notch service in a relaxed and enjoyable setting. We are currently looking for a Sous Chef to support the day-to-day management of our Back of House operations for the restaurant and catering events. Working closely with the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards in food and drink preparation and energizing our team to ensure a fantastic dining experience for our guests.

    As a Sous Chef, your role involves overseeing Back of House schedules, managing costs, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. You will supervise food preparation, maintain inventory levels, and lead the kitchen staff to consistently deliver high-quality dishes promptly.

    Your responsibilities also include optimizing departmental operations, setting and achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards, and upholding customer service excellence.

    Our kitchen environment is bilingual, welcoming team members who can communicate in English and Spanish.

    • Enhance the restaurant's brand and propose improvement strategies
    • Control operational expenses and implement efficiency measures
    • Generate detailed reports on revenue and expenses
    • Provide training for new and existing team members
    • Implement operational policies to support future restaurant activities
    • Promote continuous skill enhancement through training programs

    Qualifications for Sous Chef/Assistant Kitchen Manager...

    • Demonstrated experience as a Kitchen Manager or Executive Chef
    • Hands-on experience in menu planning and ingredient procurement
    • Familiarity with various recipes and cooking techniques
    • Adherence to sanitation guidelines
    • Excellent physical condition and stamina
    • Effective organizational and conflict management skills
    • Strong communication abilities, bilingualism preferred
    • Capability to lead a team in a fast-paced setting
    • Culinary school certification or Restaurant Management degree is a plus
    • Ability to work in diverse conditions with flexibility in hours
