    Job Summary for Program Manager (PM5):

    • Design, plan, and coordinate work teams.
    • Provide technical support to project team members.
    • Handle complex application features and technical designs.
    • Design and implement components for complex application features.
    • Manage a group of applications systems analysts.
    • Utilize experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
    • Generally report to a senior manager.
    • Possess all skills of a PM4.
    • Have experience with a specific government application.
    • Possess 11 or more years of experience.
    • Recognized as top professionals and subjectmatter experts in IT Professional Services.
    • Typically hold advanced education degrees or certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Programmer, Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP), Project Manager Professional (PMP)).
    • Advanced degrees and certifications may substitute for experience, at the State's discretion.
    • Have worked on multiple critical projects.
    • Demonstrate judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
    • Perform a variety of complicated tasks.
    • May lead and direct the work of others.
    • May report directly to Director or CIO level management.
    • Expected to have a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
