Software Engineer - Level 0- Dulles, VA Our client, in collaboration with a prime U.S
Government contractor, is working on a significant project to design, build, and manage a network operations environment
This project aims to introduce new cybersecurity measures to tackle evolving threats
We are currently looking for a skilled Software Engineer to contribute to the creation, development, and implementation of cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions

Key Duties:

• Participate in the technical design process, ensuring code quality and the reliability of the network environment
• Help in designing, prototyping, testing, and deploying business rules and technical solutions
• Develop and integrate custom components, and connect existing systems to the platform using mid-server and other relevant technologies
• Document, manage, and update operating procedures and development lifecycle practices, emphasizing agile methodologies

Essential Qualifications:

• U.S

Citizenship is a must

• Active Secret clearance required, with the potential to acquire TS/SCI clearance
• Eligibility to obtain DHS Suitability
• At least 6 years of relevant professional experience
• Familiarity with infrastructure as Code, CI/CD Pipelines, cloud orchestration principles, methods, and techniques
• Background in Enterprise and/or IT Service Management
• Experience in requirements gathering, database design, and data modeling
• Proficient in creating CI/CD Pipelines to enhance Agile practice efficiency, using Agile/DevOps metrics, visualizations, and dashboards
• Skilled in designing and developing metrics
• Minimum 2 years of experience with IaC, Pipelines, and/or Orchestration
• Experience in integrating processes and solutions, designing workflows, and generating reports

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge or experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, Continuous Development/Continuous Integration, and tools like Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes, NiFi, AWS, JIRA, Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Junit, JMeter, Cucumber

Technical understanding of cybersecurity attack strategies and mitigation methods Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Systems Engineering
Equivalent work experience can substitute for degree requirements (two years of experience for each year of degree education).

Desired Certifications:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA
• ITIL Foundation v4 Certification or willingness to obtain within a year of hire
• DODI M Compliance at IAT Level I Salary: $112,000
